 Truth and reconciliation in Africa
Gillian Slovo joins Jenni to talk about the new film adaptation of her novel Red Dust, starring Hilary Swank.
Set during South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation hearings, the novel was first written as Gillian was grappling with the emotions stirred by watching her own mother's killers plead for amnesty.
Nearly five years later, Gillian will be explaining how the release of the film has coincided with a change in how she views the whole truth and reconciliation process.
