Are they vulgar?
It’s the time of year for bedding out. For some, bedding plants are the highlight of summer gardening, for others they are a vulgarity.
Is it because they are brightly coloured and the fashion is now for more muted shades? How much is this driven by snobbery and how much by the current reaction against instant gardening?
