Has the Jackson trial done anything to help?
It was billed as the trial of the century, and four months and ten million dollars later many people won’t have been disappointed by its drama.
But with Michael Jackson acquitted this week of all the charges brought against him, has his trial and its extensive coverage increased awareness of the dangers of child abuse?
Has the trial been used as a platform to tackle this difficult subject with our children, or have the insights into the life of a bizarre celebrity simply sewn confusion about what is appropriate behaviour?
