  The NHS & childism 10 June 2005
Is the health service guilty of discriminating against children?

Taking your child to hospital can be traumatic at the best of times, but what if they're faced with discrimination?

A recent survey of young people's experiences of the NHS found that only 40% felt that the hospital explained things in a way which they could fully understand, and only half felt that the facilities catered adequately for them as a child.

So is the NHS guilty of what's being called childism? Martha talks to Kedge Martin, Chief Executive of WellChild, and paediatrician Dr Lynn Riley.
