 Serious competition for PD James?
Susan Hill's books have ranged in subject matter from traditonal English celebrations of rural life to blood curdling thrillers. Amongst them are I'm the King of the Castle, Mrs de Winter and The Woman in Black - now a long running play in the West End.
She speaks to Martha about her new crime novel, The Pure in Heart, (the second novel in a trilogy) about which the Literary Review has said "P.D.James has serious competition".
