Is it in crisis?
A poll at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health found that 60% of new trainees are no longer prepared to do child protection work because they are worried about the consequences of raising concerns about child abuse. Jenni is joined by Sarah Harman, Child Care solicitor, Dr Alastair Sutcliffe, Senior Lecturer in Child Health at the Royal Free Hospital, London, and Katherine Doran, Assistant Director of Children and Families at Camden Social Services.
