 Recent research has found that there was a higher level of female participation in politics in the decades before women received the vote
As we go to the polls again on Thursday is it voting that counts or is it much more important to be politically active in other ways, from volunteering to campaigning to being on a public body?
Jenni speaks Pat Thane, Professor of Contemporary British History at the University of London about how women's participation has changed since we got the vote, and Zenna Atkins who works in the public sector and believes that voting is nothing without active participation in your community.
