Is Girl Guiding still relevant today?
In 1914 the Girl Guides created a junior section called Rosebuds. Renamed as the Brownies, over 90 years later more than a quarter of eight-year-old girls in this country are members of a pack.
With a waiting list of 50,000 girls who want to promise to do their best, and some parents putting their daughter’s names down at birth, Jenni hears people’s differing experiences and discusses if the Brownies and Girl Guiding is still relevant in today’s society.
