Valuable playthings or enforcers of gender stereotypes?

A new exhibition at the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery explores the differerent faces of the doll - from childrens' plaything to ventriloquist's dummy; from Barbie to voodoo.

We explore the positive and negative aspects of dolls: do they reinforce or question gender stereotypes?
