 Talks about being one of the first female avant-garde artists
Susan Hiller's latest exhibition was inspired by a street sign in Berlin that said Judenstrasse or Jew Street. She was shocked, astonished and confused by the strange ambiguity in retaining the name of a street whose former inhabitants had been exterminated. It led to the J Street Project which consists of 303 photographs taken on a three year journey around Germany.
Susan joins Jenni to discuss her exhibition, her life in art and her experience of being one of the first female avant-garde artists.
