Go back to school
Cordoba, Argentina’s second largest city, is the home to a new type of school. It's a school for sex workers, but it’s not what you might think.
Some 25 women come here three times a week between 3 and 7 in the afternoon to study maths, social sciences, history, and grammar. The school is sponsored by the Association of Women Sex Workers of Argentina. The organisation fights for female sex workers´ rights and the fair representation of the kind of work they do.
Maria Eugenia, the leader behind this project, used to be a prostitute herself. Now she´s totally devoted to the school, and hopes that it will offer women a chance to stop working on the streets. Mariusa Reyes spoke to her about how the school started.
