On saving wild animals from exportation
It's 21 years since Virginia McKenna and her husband, Bill Travers set up the Born Free Foundation after the film in which they starred about Joy and George Adamson and a lion called Elsa.
Winnie Kiiru is in this country to join in the celebrations. Winnie has dedicated her life to campaigning against the illegal poaching and bushmeat trade which is decimating Kenya's wildlife. The country has already lost half its animal population in the last 20 years.
She is now the Born Free Foundation's representative in East Africa, based in Kenya, and her current project is an attempt to save 300 wild animals being exported for a zoo in Thailand.
