On becoming a single father of triplets using surrogacy
Ritula Shah speaks to Ian, a single father who has four year old triplets - Piers, Ian, and Lars.
They were born in America using a surrogate mother, an egg donor, and IVF treatment.
It cost him over £50,000. When news of this eventually reached the media, it was a big story. Sections of the press were very critical. One paper described his children as "internet babies", another commentator called him a "spoilt millionaire".
So what motivated him to produce his children in this way? How does he respond to those who express unease about what he did? And how is he managing to bring up three young boys on his own in his 50's?
