Many women have feared that having their womb removed will make them less attractive and impair their ability to enjoy sex. But a new study from the Netherlands has found that women's sexual pleasure increases after having a hysterectomy.
Professor Stewart Stanton from the British Medical Association joins Jenni to explain the new research.
Cassandra Jardine who has undergone a hysterectomy operation, talks to Claudia Hammond about how it has affected her life.
Guests, Diana Organ MP and Dr John Stubbs join Jenni to discuss whether this new report is good news for women or whether it might lead to an increase in unnecessary hysterectomies.
