Dining in the Dark Friday 3 October 2003
You've probably heard of speed dating, internet dating and personal ads as ways of meeting the perfect partner but how about dinner in the dark? It's the latest dating craze imported, of course, from America. The idea is that you meet prospective partners in the dark so you can't judge them on their looks.

Reporter, Sharmini Selvarajah goes along to find how much appearance matters in the search for a soulmate.
Judi James, ex-model and author of Sex Signals who says looks do matter and Clare McCann, who runs a dating website for single women and argues that it's personality that counts, join Martha to discuss how much is attraction based on appearance.
