Is pampering a fun way to bond with your friends, your mother or your sister or just ghastly commercialisation?
It might be a facial, a pedicure, a mere bottle of bubble bath or 5 days with a girlfriend in a health spa - most of us are guilty of spending hard cash on a touch of pampering. So much so, the beauty industry has increased 50% in the past two years and is now worth 1.3 billion pounds per annum. I guess we do it because we're worth it - but are there better things to do with your money?
