In the late nineties one band dominated the British rock scene, bringing their creed of righteous anger and incendiary performance to an ever-increasing public.
That band, Skunk Anansie, sold over 4 million albums worldwide, had eight UK Top 40 hits and enjoyed massive worldwide success.
They were led by one of the most charismatic vocalists of her generation: Skin. She is now going it alone with her new album to be released soon.
Skin joins Jenni to talk about how her experiences with women in Africa has shaped her music. She will be playing live in studio ? her new single Trashed accompanied by Elliot King and Mark Kulke, both on acoustic guitars. Skin's forthcoming single 'Trashed' is released May 26th by EMI Records(from her debut solo album 'Fleshwounds', released 2nd June). Her UK tour starts on 1st May and she performs at the London Scala on 6th/7th May 2003.
