Carol Vordeman on the 'heroine of software'
Throughout the week on Radio 4, writers, scientists and broadcasters describe their favourite moments of genius in the history of science. Female mathematicians have always fascinated Carol Vorderman such as Ada Lovelace, the daughter of the poet Lord Byron. It was the 1830’s and Ada’s moment of genius was to anticipate, more than a century ahead of her time, what a computer programme would one day be. Carol Vorderman, talks about ‘the heroine of software’. BBC - Moments of GeniusDisclaimer
