Broken trust - Listener feedback 27 Aug 2009
Your response to our discussion

On yesterday's programme, we discussed the broken trust between parents and children. Susan Pope lost her job as a school nurse after she was arrested for alleged emotional abuse by her son. The allegations have now been dropped but Susan has since lost her claim for unfair dismissal.  Frank Furedi, Professor of Sociology at the University of Kent, Helen Reece, Reader in Law at Birkbeck, and Esther Rantzen, the broadcaster and founder of Childline discussed how worried we should be by this story and to what extent it indicates a breakdown of children's relationships with their parents and adults in general.  Are we witnessing an overempowerment of the child? This item generated a huge response; here are just a few of your thoughts.
