Making sense of botanical names

Do you know when your Euphorbia Pulcherimma is past its best, or when you’ll see the Galanthus Nivalis starting to peek out in the garden? Botanical plant names can be confusing for even the most experienced gardeners, particularly when they’re prone to change. The Royal Horticultural Society is now running a series of workshops to demystify the classification and identification of plants – known as taxonomy. Anna Bailey met the botanists Janet Cubey and Dawn Edwards along with their students at Wisley Gardens in Surrey.
