Grace Nichols 03 Nov 2009
On her poetry

Grace Nichols’ poetry has been described as 'rich in music', but also 'grit and earthy honesty'. The novelist Jeannette Winterson admires her work for ‘its wit, acidity and tenderness’. In her latest collection ‘ Picasso, I Want My Face Back’ Grace will be explaining why she was drawn to write about the great artist’s muse, Dora Maar, the inspiration offered landscape, and why she wants to celebrate the power of laughter.

'Picasso, I Want My Face Back' by Grace Nichols is published by Bloodaxe Books ISBN 978-1-85224-850-5
