Family
Are mums or dads stricter? 25 Sept 2009
Parents with children
Which parent is more often the soft touch?

We naturally think that women are more patient than men when it comes to dealing with children's tantrums - but are they? Could it be that dad is the "soft touch" in the family and mum is the one left dishing out the discipline? Are fathers softer with daughters than they are with their sons? And what about the single parent -who has to be soft cop and hard cop? Jenni is joined by impressionist and mum of three Jan Ravens and writer and father of two John O’Farrell to ask whether mum or dad is best at being strict.
