Your response to our discussion
Last week the Government published its proposals for reform of the social care system; how to provide, and pay for, the care and support of our rapidly growing population of older people, and younger people with disabilities. We discussed the issues with Phil Hope, Minister of State for Care Services, Martin Knapp, Professor of Social Policy at the London School of Economics, Imelda Redmond, Chief Executive of Carers UK and Christine Ransome-Wallis, who cared for her elderly mother for 12 years. There was a huge response to this item, here are just a few of your stories and suggestions.
