 Women in engineering
The winner of Britain's biggest engineering prize - the Royal Academy of Engineering MacRobert Award – is announced this week. The prize was created in memory of Lady MacRobert, but only one woman has won it in the prize’s 40 year history. Jane talks to Marianne Foley, who was the fire engineer responsible for the Water Cube National Aquatics Centre in Beijing, and is up for the prize this year. She's joined by Sir Garth Morrison of the MacRobert Trust, to discuss the life and legacy of Lady MacRobert.
Update: We are pleased to report that Marianne Foley's team Arup won the prize, announced on Tuesday 9th June.Royal Academy of Engineering MacRobert Prize The Water Cube MacRobert TrustDisclaimer
