Contact Arrangements 16 Feb 2009
Contact problems in separated families

Families who use the courts to make post-separation parenting arrangements tend to have high levels of conflict. However, most separating couples do not use the courts. Much less is known about these families and the difficulties they encounter. However, a new study by the single parents charity, Gingerbread has found that these parents also struggle with contact issues and want more help in making contact work. To discuss the issues Sheila is joined by Fiona Weir, Chief Executive, Gingerbread and Jane Wilson, family lawyer, and member of the National Committee of Resolution.
