A community scheme for Asian women
Small Heath in East Birmingham has the highest proportion of people of Asian origin in the UK with unemployment rates of South Asian women three times that of white women. 'Concrete to Coriander' is a community gardening scheme run by the Bangladesh Women's Centre and CSV Environment. It aims to give women new skills and contacts. Before the ice and snow hit, Angela Robson met up with a group of Bangladeshi women in Small Heath Park. |
