Woman Ironing by Degas
Degas' Painting

To mark Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture, Woman's Hour is talking to curators of the city's museums and galleries about favourite treasures that have particular relevance to women.  For this feature our reporter Louise Adamson went to the Walker Art Gallery to talk to Reyahn King, who is Director of Art Galleries for National Museums Liverpool, about a painting by Edgar Degas called Woman Ironing.
