 Wine tips from an expert.
An increasing number of women are buying wine and a recent survey by Gallup in the U.S. estimated that women are responsible for 55% of all wine sales. But how do you choose what to buy? In a special Woman's Hour series, the wine writer Jancis Robinson picks some of her favourites. She selects a good basic wine, costing no more than £5, and another slightly more expensive bottle of the same type. In the first of the series, she talks to Simon Parkes about Rosé wines.
Jancis Robinson's recommendations are: Fairhills, Mendoza Vineyards 2007 Argentine Rose £5.19 Tesco, Fournier, Les Chanvrières 2006 Sancerre Rosé Pale tomato. Bone dry, pretty. Very delicate. Some light hint of Pinot. Very refreshing and clean. Could be a lovely lunch wine £9.19Jancis RobinsonDisclaimer
