The sculptor and artist talks about her diaries and her life in Glasgow between the wars.
This week the Jewish-Glaswegian artist Hannah Frank marks her hundredth birthday with a new exhibition of her work in her native city. Her career spans an amazing seventy-five years and her critically acclaimed sculptures and pictures are still being exhibited around the country – some are also on show in the Glasgow care home where she has lived since 2002. Judi Herman went to visit Hannah there, and also met her niece, Fiona Frank, who is editing her aunt's diaries.
'Hannan Frank - A Glasgow Artist: 100th Birthday Exhibition' opens on her birthday, Sat 23 Aug at the Chapel, Glasgow University. It runs until 11 Oct 2008. Hannah FrankDisclaimer
