An exhibition commemorating Cambridge Assessment
This year is the 150th anniversary of Cambridge Assessment, the longest surviving examination board. Although boys have been sitting exams for this length of time, it will be another nine years before girls can celebrate, as they didn’t officially start until 1867. Today the board sends 20 million exam papers to 150 countries every year. To commemorate the anniversary there is currently an online exhibition which has been created from material held by the Cambridge Assessment Archives Services. Felicity Finch went to meet archivist Gillian Cook to find out more about the girls’ exams.Cambridge AssessmentDisclaimer
