Hillary Clinton 23 April 2008
Hillary Clinton
When should you throw in the towel?

Hillary Clinton has faced persistent calls to stand aside and allow Barack Obama a clear run for the Democratic presidential nomination. Her detractors say she’s dividing her party by refusing to give in. So, when should she throw in the towel? Are women politicians usually quicker to give up? And, would we have been less surprised by her sticking power if she’d been a man? Jenni talks to Diane Abbott MP and to Baroness Shirley Williams.
