How were the survivors' lives affected by their early experiences?
Out of the one-and-a-half million children caught up in the Holocaust only a few thousand girls under the age of 12 survived the death camps. In 1945, 850 child survivors, mostly orphans, were permitted to enter Britain. The Wiener Library in London, the world’s oldest Holocaust library and archive, is currently making a film as part of an oral history project about how the early experiences of the girls in the group may have affected the decisions they have made in their lives. Felicity Finch met two of the survivors, along with Katherine Klinger from the Wiener library. The Wiener LibraryDisclaimer
