Work
The female tailor - Imtaz Khaliq 05 Mar 2008
Cutting the cloth

Tailoring is very much a male profession but there are a few females in the business. Yorkshire born Imtaz Khaliq is London's first female tailor. She set up her business in the capital sixteen years ago. Since then her work has not only attracted a healthy client base but also a fair share of curiosity from those interested to know how a woman fares in a traditionally male dominated profession with a mostly male clientele. Anna McNamee met Imtaz and some of her clients.
