Instead of old age in a care home, why not club together with friends, buy a big house and live there together in your dotage? Pie in the sky? Or a viable alternative to an old age in a wing backed chair watching Countdown?
Living as a mutually supportive group combining self-contained accommodation with common space is known as Co-Housing and it's becoming increasingly popular.
