Skin Lightening; why do women want to do it? 19 July 2007
Should doctors help black women lighten their skin?

It’s claimed a new cream can allow black and Asian people to lighten the colour of their skins with no health risks.  Yannis Alexandrides, consultant plastic surgeon, Sujata Jolly, research director at Depeche Mode Laboratories Ltd and Dr Shirley Tate from the Centre for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies at Leeds University join Miriam to ask why anyone would want to do it?
