Are girls different from boys when it comes to bullying?
Tackling bullying is an ongoing problem for many schools, but is there a difference between girls and boys when it comes to the methods they use? We hear from pupils at a school in St Albans, who are staging an all-girl version of William Golding’s “Lord of Flies” to explore the ways girls express their anger through violence.
Jane Little is joined by Jan Fry, Deputy Chief Executive of Parentline Plus and Deborah Sheppard, Healthy Schools Advisor for Emotional Well-Being and Bullying for Hertfordshire to dicover whether bullying girls rely on more covert, psychological methods rather than physical aggression and finds out the most effective ways of tackling their challenging behaviour.Parentline Plus Bullying Online Childline Kidscape BBC Parenting Disclaimer
