The enduring love of twenty couples with a combined marital life of 500 years is being celebrated at the Urbis exhibition centre in Manchester where photos from the early days of each couples’ romance are on display.
Dawn Bryan went to meet three of the couples featured - Ramrup and Sumtra Choudry, Judith and Mary Tomlinson (one of the first same-sex couples to enter a civil partnership), and Jean and Terry Murphy. She started by asking Jean and Terry about the first time they met, at Abergely Chest Hospital in the 1960s.
