 The period between Christmas and New Year is one of the busiest on the football calendar. More women than ever are attending football matches – 20 per cent of season ticket holders are female - and the Football League, as part of its Fans of the Future initiative, is keen to increase the attendance of women and children. Woman's Hour sent reporter Kate Betts to meet mother and daughter season ticket holders, Bev and Lauren McMullen.
