Prostitution: What's Going On? 27 Dec 2006
Photo from 'Britains Streets Of Vice : Sex In The City' (2005)
To mark the centenary of Josephine Butler’s death, the Women’s Library in London is holding an exhibition that draws its inspiration from her work. It’s called ‘Prostitution: What’s Going On?’ and examines the questions she raised about prostitution, sexual exploitation and trafficking. It considers these issues both in her own time and in a more modern context. The curator of the exhibition is Professor Liz Kelly, who heads London Metropolitan University’s Child and Woman Abuse Studies Unit. She takes Lizz Pearson on a tour of the exhibits.
