Outdoor Nurseries    18 Dec 2006
For many adults, looking back, childhood was a time of outdoor adventure - playing in parks, rivers or woods. So what happens when today’s youngsters, more used to being tethered to the TV and computer screen, are encouraged to play outside – all day? The Farley Nursery School near Salisbury in Wiltshire has discovered the answer to that question – they LOVE it! The head, Sue Palmer, told Anna McNamee her children are healthy and robust, and that outdoor play for pre-school children is a great route to early learning.
