 Just thinking about maggots is enough to turn most people's stomachs. They are probably the most reviled creatures of the insect kingdom. But Dr Michelle Harvey's groundbreaking research uses maggots to solve crimes and estimate the time of death of murder victims. Nicknamed “maggot girl” by the Australian media, she believes maggots have been misunderstood.
