Generation Ouch 13 July 2006
This year over 750,000 women will run in Cancer Research UK's Race for Life events alone, and the appetite for exercise among women over 40 is on the increase. But are these middle-aged enthusiasts in danger of doing themselves more harm than good. A recent report by American doctors suggests that the baby boomer generation, raised on a diet of Jane Fonda workouts, is now starting to suffer from increasing numbers of sports injuries. We'll be finding out the best way to keep fit in later life without overdoing it.

Jenni will be joined in the studio by Julie Sparrow, Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Teesside and Josie Mitchell, sports therapist at the Bimal Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic.
