Detective Sargeant Cate Jackson 06 July 2006
Detective Sargeant Cate Jackson has been honoured for her work on some of Britain 's most high profile criminal investigations. It's her job to liaise between the police and victims of crimes and their families. As well as supporting families she also gathers information that might help in the case. She's worked with the families of the London suicide bombers and those of PC Sharon Beshenivsky and PC Ian Broadhurst - both killed in the line of duty. Now she's been named family liaison officer of the year.
