Battle of the Shoes 25th August 2009
How much do you battle with your children over shoes?

The start of the new school year usually means new shoes. Do you dread that visit to the shoe shop with your children but continue to insist on properly fitted leather shoes? Or have you thrown in the towel and given in to cheap trainers and ballet pumps? Parent Sue Elliott-Nicholls talks about the difficulties of purchasing shoes. But how much does it actually matter? Podiatrist Emma Supple and journalist Kathryn Flett discuss the rights and wrongs of buying shoes for children.
