Sex Diaries 23 Jul 2009
Bettina Arndt
What should you do if your partner's libido doesn't match yours?

How do couples cope when they have mismatched libidos? Australian sex therapist Bettina Arndt has asked men and women to keep sex diaries, to try and tackle the nightly and arduous negotiations that can evolve around physical intimacy. But is her suggestion that sometimes you just need to ‘put the canoe in the water and start paddling’ the way forward? Jane talks to Bettina and to the relationship psychologist Susan Quilliam about the nature of male and female desire.

The Sex Diaries: Why Women Go Off Sex and Other Bedroom Battles by Bettina Arndt is published by Hamlyn  ISBN-10 06 00620727
