Caroline Churchill on the possible reasons for her son’s suicide
When her son Andrew killed himself, Caroline was bewildered as to why he had done it. Then, as she found out more, she realised that his problems may have been linked to a terrible head injury he had suffered when he was seven that could have affected his pituitary gland. Jane talks to Caroline about her son, and they are joined by Dr Tara Kearney, Consultant Endocrinologist at the Salford Royal Hospital in Manchester, who has been carrying out research into the link between brain injury and future pituitary problems.Headway
