Her extraordinary life
Jade Goody died in the early hours of Sunday morning, and her face adorns the front pages of all the newspapers this morning. She was just 27, and was diagnosed with cervical cancer last August. Her extraordinary life took her from a desperately deprived childhood in Bermondsey via reality TV to national notoriety. When Martha Kearney interviewed her on Woman's Hour two years ago she chatted to her about living life in the public eye, her failure to complete the London Marathon, and why she decided to go on Big Brother the first time around. Jane also talks to the journalist and author Joan Smith. |
