It’s estimated that five and a half million British citizens are living overseas. They are often lured by job prospects, or the promise of a better climate or quality of life. But what is the reality of living in a different culture, often many miles away from your extended family and friends? Jane is joined by Elizabeth Noble, author of The Girl Next Door; who has moved with her family to New York; Sue Hitchen, Editor, Living Abroad Magazine, who moved her family to Spain and Esther Freud, author of Hideous Kinky about her experience of living in Morocco.

The Girl Next Door, by Elizabeth Noble. Published by Penguin. ISBN: 978-0-718-15233-8.
