Family sabbaticals 30 December 2008
Taking a break from home responsibilities

What happens when, after years of putting your family first, you want to do something for yourself, something that means spending considerable time away from your partner and children? We look at the practicalities of taking a family sabbatical, whether for work or play. Do men find it easier to do than women?  We hear from Jane Lichtenstein who's working for VSO in Zambia, and Jane speaks to actor Lynda Bellingham, currently on tour with a production of Calendar Girls, and agony aunt, Deirdre Sander.
