Phone Home 24 Oct 2008
England's football coach, Fabio Capello, admitted recently that he phones his 85 year old mother every day. But how often should grown up children call their parents? Once calling home meant a long wait outside a public payphone once a week with a big bag of change. But new technology has changed the way in which parents communicate with their children. No wonder that the mobile phone has been called the longest umbilical cord in history when parents can speak to their children on a daily or hourly basis. But how often is too much and should parents make the running, or wait for their kids to call?
